About Us

Traveling Classics is a mobile development company based in Herndon, VA.  We specialize in creating applications for the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android.  For more on our apps, look here.

If you need tech support for any of our apps – please email support at travelingclassics dot com.

I’m Jess – I take care of the operations for the company as well as social networking and the blog.  I’m a Christian, mom to one little girl, wife to a wonderful husband, and I love to organize, sew, hike & play strategy games.  I love audiobooks because they allow me to multi-task.  I love to listen to audiobooks while I sew, fold laundry, do dishes, go for walks, and I even listened to a book while skiing this season – which was actually really great.

I would love to talk to you about your favorite books, audiobooks, and anything else you want to chat about.

Hi,

I was just checking out your iPhone app in the App Store. Congrats, looks pretty good.

Happy with your sales so far?

I’ve been working with some app developers the last few months, and I’ve learned that there’s two aspects that you need to focus on to be really successful selling apps in iTunes. I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned if you’re interested. Just let me know and I’ll send you a quick overview.

Best of luck,
Ed Turner

We have had some enquiries on the LibriVox forum asking why more recent LibriVox releases are not available on your app. This seems to apply to both the iTunes app and the Android one. We are releasing new audio books at the rate of 2 or 3 a day, and from what I understand books catalogued in the last six months or so at least are not yet available in your apps. People are disappointed, but they seem to come to us to ask, instead of you. :) Do you plan to update your catalogue?

Another question asked is whether the paid for apps are updated more frequently than the free apps.

Hi Ruth! We are working on getting the new LibriVox releases in the apps. On the iPhone, the paid and free apps are updated at the same time. Thanks.

Matt –

Currently, Apple does not allow file management of their devices, so the only place to get the Pro books is on your iPhone.

maybe i could describe it differently … so to use your program one must own a iphone or a ipod touch?
so if i want friends to try out this and they do not own one or the other … theres not a program for them?

Matt – Yes, you are correct, you must own an iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android device to be able to use the app.

I love your paid Audiobook app for my Ipod. We had to buy Ipods for school and this app makes it worth every penny! It is my favorite!
My father owns an Android. I downloaded the free app for him but it is not as extensive as the paid app.
Will the paid app be available for the Android any time soon?
Thanks for this wonderful project,
Kate

I have just downloaded a book from iTunes store and paid approx £8.00 for it.
I have sync’d my iPod and I am now getting a message “requires internet” and your web address at the bottom. Can you please tell me if I am doing something wrong. I can’t see the point of paying for audio books if I have to sit in front of my computer to listen to them, when I have an iPod.

Thank you in advance

I just updated my Audiobooks app (paid) to version 4.02. It won’t load. It just sits there while the little wheel spins. I tried resetting my iPhone 3GS.

Hi, I recently downloaded the Audiobook My sisters keeper and it wouldn;t function on my computer or ipod. It simple came up as an application rather than an audiobook. I tried downloading it again but it didn;t work. In the end i had to download a different version (which works fine) but now i have paid twice. I contacted the Itunes store about this and they put me onto you. I am writing to get a refund on the book that didn’t work please.
Thanks,
